Baptism is a visual testimony of our accepting the invitation of Christ to be forgiven and to become a part of His family. It is also a statement of commitment to Christ, like a wedding ring is a part of marriage. It's often the first step of discipleship.

The symbolism in baptism is just as Christ died and was buried, so the baptized person is submerged under water. Then just as Christ rose again, so the baptized person rises again. Under the water is the believer’s old self-centered life. Out of the water, cleansed by the blood of Christ, is the believer’s new, purposeful life.

We know that, as a parent, you are the most important influence in your child’s life. But you’re not the only influence your child needs. That’s where your church family comes in. Child dedication is an opportunity to invite others to develop and influence your child as they grow in their faith. Through Child Dedications, you get to partner with people who will love and lead your child well. Your kids do not begin following Jesus by accident. By dedicating your child, you’re asking God to move in their life at an early age, and you're committing to raise your kids to know who Jesus is.

That's where we come beside you to equip, encourage, and empower you to be the parent that models a friendship with God. We would be honored to assist you in this step.
